چکیده

In this work, gelatin (G)-polyacrylamide (PAAm)-based interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) hydrogels involving maleic acid (MA) was prepared using by radical polymerization. Full-IPN and semi-IPN were synthesized glutaraldehyde ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as a crosslinker. The water absorbency of investigated, the values increased with MA G. chemical structures full-IPN tested Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Morphological test done Scanning Electron Microscope/ Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM/EDX). Thermal properties examined Differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) analyzer Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). mechanical performed Zwick Universal Testing Machine. stabilities hydrogel higher than semi-IPN. efficiency adsorption parameters (contact time, initial feed concentration, pH) on Chromium (VI) ion adsorbing property also determined. Isotherms explained Langmuir or Freundlich equations. According to results both isotherms, it can be said that surface homogeneous, occurred in monolayer.

Removal of chromium (VI) from aqueous solution by adsorption using cousinia eryngioides boiss and activated carbon

Adsorption capacity of Cr (VI) onto cousinia eryngioides boiss, activated carbon was investigated in a batch system by considering the effects of various parameters like contact time, initial concentration, pH, temperature, agitation speed, absorbent dose and particle size. Cr (VI) removal is pH dependent and found to be maximum at pH 2.0. The amounts of Cr (VI) adsorbed increased with increase...

Agricultural Waste as Adsorbent for Removal of Chromium (VI) from Aqueous Solution

Background & Aims of the Study: Since the chromium (VI) is a toxic, carcinogenic and non-biodegradable element and can accumulate in the tissues, the presence and release of this element through the effluents is associated with dangerous effects on life cycle. Thus, it should be removed from the effluents. In the present study, biosorption of Cr(VI) from aqueous solutio...

Removal of chromium (VI) from aqueous solution using treated oil palm fibre.

This study proposed an oil palm by-product as a low-cost adsorbent for the removal of hexavalent chromium [Cr (VI)] from aqueous solution. Adsorption of Cr (VI) by sulphuric acid and heat-treated oil palm fibre was conducted using batch tests. The influence of pH, contact time, initial chromium concentration and adsorbent dosage on the removal of Cr (VI) from the solutions was investigated. The...

Removal of Chromium (VI) from Aqueous Solution using Charred Pomegranate Waste

Removal of Cr(VI) from aqueous solution was studied using charred pomegranate fruit waste [CPW] as a new low cost biosorbent under batch method at room temperature. Its efficiency for removal of Cr(VI) was compared with raw pomegranate fruit waste[RPW]. Various sorption parameters such as contact time, initial concentration of Cr(VI) ion and effect of pH on the adsorption capacity of the biosor...
